David C. Barry is a nationally recognized mediator; an experienced lawyer (with a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown); a licensed social worker (with a Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University), and educator (he teaches law and ethics at Rutgers University and to therapists throughout the region). David has additionally trained in divorce coaching at the College for Divorce Coaching and has earned recognition as a Certified Divorce Coach and is a New Jersey Supreme Court-certified parenting coordinator.
Laura Bowne Barry
Laura Bowne Barry is also an experienced mediator and attorney. Laura has a Bachelors of Business Administration with a specialization in insurance and earned her Juris Doctorate at Rutgers Law School, Newark, NJ. She was awarded the Theodore H. Sorg Prize in law school, for having the highest GPA in property classes. Following law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable James J. Petrella, Presiding Judge for the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of N.J. Ms. Barry’s legal expertise in real estate, transactional and related matters adds greatly value to many of the subjects discussed in mediation and coaching sessions.
David and Laura draw upon their varied professional backgrounds in helping couples and individuals successfully meet the challenges of divorce and other relationship challenges.
They have successfully mediated over a thousand disputes, most involving divorce or related family issues. They have coached scores of individuals in successfully dealing with those same issues. They have the skills necessary to help you settle your divorce quickly while avoiding the expense and stress of litigation. They are members of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, the Association for Conflict Resolution, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and a variety of bar associations.
